Azure & Linux Systems Engineer

Xpertise are urgently looking for a Linux / Azure Systems Engineer to join one of our public sector clients. Due to internal promotion and this leaving a security issue/vulnerability within the company this requirement is urgent.

• £500-£550 per day Inside IR35
• 6-month contract initially (renewal option)
• 1 to 2 days a week in the London Office

Linux / Azure Systems Engineer - Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, patching and performance tuning.
• Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health availability of our systems.
• Collaborate with the cloud team to optimize our systems for Azure and data center environments.
• Provide support and guidance to other team members on Linux-related issues.
• Appropriate patching of Linux servers (~110 severs across two data centers).
• Lead elements of planning and implementation work to install and maintain our systems, including building and configuring infrastructure components in virtualized and cloud environments.

Linux / Azure Systems Engineer - Requirements:

• Strong and detailed Linux experience.
• ARC patching experience.
• Azure experience.
• Powershell scripting experience.
• PALO Firewall experience.
• Experience patching and upgrading of firmware
