This role will be working within the ABS credit research team covering the aviation sector. This would include working on public aviation securitisations, private secured financings as well as maintaining coverage on the airlines and lessors which issue public debt.
You would need to be able to work with other analysts on transactions, including reviewing documentation, working with models and interacting with counterparties.
You will be responsible for:
• Work on and maintain surveillance on aviation ABS and other secured financings;
• Maintain coverage of airlines and lessors, including periodic sector reviews;
• Produce thematic research on the aviation industry;
• Maintain relationships with counterparties;
• Provide relative value trading ideas within aviation.
What we are looking for:
It is essential for you to have a good knowledge of the aviation industry; have familiarity with aviation ABS structures and private financings and experience analysing airlines and lessors. Good quantitative skills and a strong ability with Excel is also essential. You will have a proactive approach to solving problems and be approachable and helpful, with good interpersonal skills. Your approach will be methodical and reliable and you will have the ability to manage your own workload without direct supervision to ensure deadlines are met.
Solid experience working in aviation in a bank, rating agency, asset manager, etc. is also necessary.
