Well, here at SSCL, we've got an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for an Automation Business Analyst to join our successful Automation Centre of Excellence and own the requirements gathering and process improvement design phase of individual delivery plans. The team works in an Agile environment, where you'll be crafting and refining business requirements and translating them into effective automated solutions for our team of developers to implement.

We're an experienced and very cohesive team that lives and breathes automation and innovation. We have extremely ambitious plans to revolutionise the way the team operates and the services we offer in future. We're hoping to appoint Business Analyst in automation to play a pivotal role in realising these ambitions.

This exciting hybrid role will require you to work out of our Newport offices at least twice a week with your team and the rest of the week will be based from home.
As the team is split over two locations there will also be the requirement to travel to our Newcastle offices every couple of months or so

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams to identify automation opportunities
  • Translating business needs into detailed process documentation and functional requirements
  • Designing and implementing UI Path and Blue Prism workflows
  • Supporting test scheduling and preparation for new automation projects and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Working closely with customers to make sure automation solutions align with business objectives
  • Participating in Agile meetings and contributing your ideas to sprint planning and reviews

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience leading automation projects that deliver business outcomes in an Agile environment
  • Hands-on experience with UI Path and Blue Prism
  • Superb communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • A passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of the automation curve
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

It would be great if you had:

  • Lean/SixSigma accreditation to Green Belt standard
  • UiPath accredited with UiPath Certified Automation Business Analyst
  • Other BA Certification
  • Project Management qualification such as Prince2 or Agile
  • An understanding and/or experience of Testing methodologies
