Audit Senior

We have an incredible opportunity for an Audit Senior to join a well-established, multi-site firm of Chartered Accountants, in their York office.

About the role:

• Prepare statutory year end accounts for a variety of clients
• Audit of financial statements from planning to completion, including responsibility for managing the onsite audit team when necessary
• Prepare draft corporation tax returns
• Action queries raised by the accounts and tax managers
• Finalise the accounts/corporation tax computations following client meetings
• Act as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries
• Provide training and support to team members as required

About you:

• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Proven experience of owner-managed small to medium business accounts preparation
• General practice background, with experience in audit
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident speaking to clients face to face, over the telephone and by email
• Have excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Excel
• Experience with any of the following software would be beneficial: Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks Online
