My client is a well-regarded employee-owned architectural and heritage consultancy practice, who are on the lookout for a talented experienced Architect to join their dynamic team. With approximately 280 dedicated professionals across 14 offices across the UK and internationally, they are committed to quality, innovation, and diversity. Our client have previously been recognised as Architect Employer of the Year 2022 and are a World Architecture Top 100 practice.

The practice are seeking a Senior Architect or Associate Architect who will work predominantly in the realm of historic and listed buildings. As a key member of their team, you will utilise your extensive experience in project delivery and management to oversee all aspects of architectural projects. From design and technical execution to client communication and team leadership, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of their projects.

Skills, Experience & Responsibilities for the role of Associate Architect:

  • Lead projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise and support to project teams, emphasising the highest standards of design and construction.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, empowering team members to excel and grow.
  • Represent the practice in client-facing interactions and engage with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in architecture.
  • Proven track record of project delivery and management, with a focus on historic and listed buildings.
  • Expertise in design, technical execution, and conservation practices.
  • Thorough understanding of UK Building and Planning regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams.
  • Accreditation by AABC or RIBA SCA/CA is desirable.
  • Proficiency in BIM/Revit is advantageous.
