A leading retail bank is looking for an analytically minded individual to join their Business Control’s Function and Operational Risk Support Team as an Assistant Manager.

The role involves the monitoring and reporting of key controls, understanding the risks in the business and the control environment that wraps around these risks. The ability to do this helps to properly assess the operational risk - whether that’s financial or reputational. You will ensure appropriate controls have been put in place and action plans with the business areas to reduce or remove the risks faced as a banking organisation.

You will be responsible for supporting business areas across Customer Operations, using your knowledge of the Risk Control Assessment and Operational Losses standards to practically apply this to your day to day role.

Skills and Experience required;

  • Strong analytical and eye for detail
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in any of the following business areas would be highly advantageous; Banking, Financial Crime Operations and/or Operational Risk
