Assistant Accountant - Liverpool - Public Sector Organisation - £22-26k
Your new company
You will be working for a well-known public sector organisation in Liverpool who are growing their finance team by recruiting for an Assistant Accountant.
Your new role
As the Assistant Accountant, your main tasks will be to assist the management accounts team with the preparation of the management accounts, preparation of journals, accruals and prepayments. You will also be involved with the transactional side of finance, assisting with invoice processing, bank reconciliations and an element of credit control. You will also manage any client queries that come in, working closely with the wider finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be fully AAT qualified (or latter stages) and possibly have started studying towards your CIMA qualification. You should have some experience of assisting with the preparation of management accounts and it would be beneficial if you are coming directly from another public sector organisation, however, they client are open to other options. You should have experience of transactional finance as well.
