As Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely accounting and reporting of financial information for a small operational ledger and accurate costing and production information for a larger manufacturing ledger. You will establish and maintain appropriate financial controls in line NOV, SOX and UK GAAP requirements. You will provide accurate financial analysis to the management team to enable informed decision making in all areas of the business, but particularly costing and variance control. This is a varied role and will give the successful candidate a good broad overview of our business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To prepare the monthly and quarterly financial submissions for our ISE Aftermarket Aberdeen business unit
• To ensure accurate and timely intercompany accounting for the ISE Aftermarket Aberdeen business unit
• To investigate, report and drive correction of variances in the Gateshead manufacturing plant
• To assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly SOX compliance documentation for ISE Aftermarket Aberdeen
• To assist in preparation of annual Plan for both Gateshead and ISE Aftermarket Aberdeen
• To compile and distribute accurate KPI’s for the Gateshead plant
• To provide both Management teams with financial information as required
• To ensure accurate cost information by performing cost rolls as required
• To assist in the implementation of new systems, including ERP systems
• To infill other departmental functions as required.
• To assist the Financial Controller as required.
