Antibody Scientist

Kelly Scientific are working with a leading biotechnology organisation based in the Cambridgeshire area who are looking for an Antibody Scientist to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be to deliver projects against client specifications and quality targets. This company are a preferred supplier for antibody discovery and libraries based on their bespoke DNA synthesis and selection methods, they strive to provide products of the highest quality so that their clients can be successful in drug development. 

Further responsbilities:
- Collaborate with other scientists in the team to deliver projects in line with customer specifications and deadlines
- Carry out various assays to screen and characterise antibodies; recording results accurately 
- Oversee the workload of junior staff, ensuring that they are trained correctly as needed
- Act as a point of contact for clients, answering any technical queries and providing updates on projects as needed

- PhD within a relevant discipline 
- Proven industry experience in antibody selection and characterisation including phage display or other in vitro display systems 
- Working knowledge of ELISA, HTRF, protein stability assays, FACS, and affinity determination is essential
- Further knowledge in mammalian cell culture, cell line maintenance, transfection and cloning would be highly desirable 
- Excellent communication skills and previous line management experience
