REED are looking for a Ambassadors Network Coordinator to work within Leicester Safeguarding Adults Board.

Overall Purpose of this post 

To act as lead representive for people with lived experience of adult safeguarding in matters, as appropriate, which are related to the Leicester Safeguarding Adults Board.

Working hours are up to 40 hours per year.
£20.00 PAYE


This is not office based as attending meetings is to be expected but reading can be done at home.

 To chair the Engagement Sub Group of the Leicester Safeguarding Adults Board.

Major Objectives

  To ensure the Engagement Sub Group adheres to its terms of reference and executes the board’s Engagement Strategy.

 To take a position as board member for the Leicester Safeguarding Adults Board.

To provide independent scrutiny and advice about board activity from the perspective of someone with lived experience of adult safeguarding.

 To work closely with board office staff to ensure the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal (developing person and outcome focussed adult safeguarding work) are embedded into the board’s work.

Experience needed

Experience as a service user or parent/carer of a service user that has experienced adult safeguarding services

Knowledge of adult safeguarding legislation

Knowledge of the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal

Experience and the ability to demonstrate sufficient skills in chairing complex meetings.
