This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join an expanding law firm based in Leeds, our client is currently seeking experienced administrators to assist the Legal Team in answering communications from clients and customers. To carry out administration tasks. To assist solicitors and other fee earners with effective handling of litigated cases or complex matters within a consumer small claims environment. Administration and filing of documents pertaining to litigation. The successful applicant will have previous experience of working within administration, you will have excellent written communication skills along with the ability to work in a busy role.

Duties will include:

  • Dealing with Court correspondence, Orders, Admissions, Directions, applications etc.
  • Process and deal with white mail, emails from Defendants and third parties
  • Dealing with QMS tasks and queries
  • Ensure that our case flow system is accurately maintained for each Defendant, ensuring that that information is correct, relevant, current and easily available
  • Dealing with and responding to queries and disputes generated by Defendant via QMS, email and telephone and any other internal system used for this purpose
  • Liaise with clients to ensure that documents and information are obtained within satisfactory turnaround times
  • Manage own workload to achieve SLA’s and raise any issues to either Paralegal or Team Leaders
  • Highlighting any process issues to Team Leaders where appropriate
  • Respond to escalated issues from Defendants as required in accordance with regulations, procedures, policies and client’s service level agreements ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Ensure that the case management, and any other internal system is correctly noted and items are correctly filed, scanned, forwarded and or destroyed as is appropriate
  • Drafting legal documents, agreements, legal letters and other correspondence
  • Manage own work queues and ensure all work is conducted in a timely manner and in line with functional SLA’s

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Previous experience of working within administration
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Good written and verbal communication skills - Essential
  • The successful applicant may have experience of dealing with consumer litigation matters
  • Previous experience of dealing with clients or suppliers by telephone is desirable
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) or above; or qualified by experience
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
