We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our global organisation. The successful candidate will provide a range of administrative support activities to assist in the operation of the Electricity Metering department and Durham branch.

This position will pay National Minimum Wage, plus an annual performance bonus of up to 10%. Key Accountabilities

  • Coding of suppliers invoices for checking and authorisation to ensure accuracy of payment

  • Ensure new/amended standards are logged, and filed into the quality system

  • Prepare documentation in accordance with company systems and procedures

  • Progress incoming/outgoing mail in a timely and efficient manner to maintain customer service standards

  • Ensure suitable archiving systems are in place and maintained

  • Prepare and progress purchase orders on the system

  • Ordering of stationery for all departments to ensure stock levels are maintained.

  • Carry out general administration duties to assist in delivering client satisfaction and efficiency of the business, as required by line manager/supervisor

  • Liaising with the General Public, Electricity Suppliers & Energy watch to obtain information in the preparation of project files for Meter Determinations

  • Preparing letters to the general public, Electricity Suppliers & Energy watch to communicate the status of a Meter determination

  • Registering project files on current IT systems for activities undertaken within the Electricity Metering dept and when necessary other activities of the branch to ensure all projects are recorded

  • Update database accordingly for activities undertaken within the Electricity Metering dept to ensure records are accurate in order to produce reports for line management.

  • Ensure test reports and certificates are generated on time with the assistance of the admin team to meet customer deadlines

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an administrative environment and will be competent using and producing spreadsheets. We are looking for an excellent relationship builder and someone who can confidently resolve customer queries and effectively communicate at all levels. This is a dynamic and challenging role, the ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritise and work on numerous projects at any one time, and will be able to adapt positively to an ever-changing workload.
