Job Summary

Care UK have a vacancy for an Administrator / Receptionist to work at Southampton Treatment Centre. This is a permanent role for 37.5 hours per week. The remuneration is £16,856 per annum. The purpose of the role is to deliver an efficient and patient focused administration, booking, clinic preparation and reception service. Key responsibilities include: • To greet the Patients on their arrival at Reception areas, displaying excellent customer service. • To accurately record all patient and visit data on the patient administration system. • Book patient appointments in accordance with clinical requests, administrative policies and pathway timings, recording patient choice requests. This will include the management of appointments through the electronic referral system. • Manage the submission of referrals for clinical triage and monitoring return timescales. • Arrange support services for patient visits such as translation and transport as required, maintaining accurate records of requests. • Be mindful of the 18 week pathway timings and Treatment Centre Access Policy when booking and rescheduling appointments, escalating to line manager any that fall outside of the pathway timescales. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL • Good standard of education • Relevant experience in dealing with the general public – specifically to include telephone and reception experience • Good computer skills including experience in using Word and Excel • General office systems and routines • Excellent customer service • Excellent interpersonal skills • Sensitivity and empathy with people • Excellent communication skills DESIRABLE • NVQ in Business Administration • Customer Service/Care • Record Keeping For more information you can visit www.southamptontreatmentcentre.nhs.uk
