Activities Coordinator

Orchard Care Homes - Greenpark, WA5

Hours - 38.5 hours per week

Pay Up to £8.03 per hour dependent on age

A bright and spacious home designed to support 105 residents needing residential, nursing and more specialist dementia care. Green Park is located in the picturesque suburb of Great Sankey, on the outskirts of Warrington, we are within easy access to local shops and amenities. Care is provided by a team of dedicated and professional staff, many of whom have extensive experience in care and undergo continual training.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people
  • Experience of delivering activities in a group setting
  • Experience of forging and building strong relationships in the community
  • Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable

  • Experience of producing reports and newsletters
  • Understand the needs of elderly people
  • Experience of using the internet for research

  • Be polite, friendly, warm and supportive of residents individual needs
  • Enjoy a busy environment ensuring the home is pleasant and welcoming at all times
  • Ability to communicate with older people and be interested in their needs
  • Either have experience, or a willingness to learn more, about dementia and how to support residents
  • The ability to encourage teamwork and support the team to deliver outstanding care
  • Eager to complete all training relevant to your role
