A highly successful financial services business is collaborating with the talent acquisition team at NET Recruit on their search for an Acquisition Manager to join the business working in a mostly remote capacity in the North of England and travelling between locations in the North, as needed. The business is embarking on a near future plan to enable communities across the nation to better access banking services, by partnering with some of the largest banking businesses in the country. This is an exciting and revolutionary business idea, backed by an organisation with the power and drive to make it a reality.

This role will provide support to the wider team by overseeing the acquisition of premises and the securing of contracts and leases to ensure these meet company expectations and budgets, that contracts are formulated correctly and the premises are fit for purpose before the project management team renovate.

Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Working alongside internal teams to identify and report on progress of potential locations for projects
  • Signing off on terms before the legal department get involved to ensure these terms meet company requirements
  • Acting as the liaison between solicitors and representatives during the lease signing process, providing answers to any queries and supporting project managers with any lease terms that are not standard
  • Collaborating with project managers through the process until final sign off is approved
  • Tracking and reporting on progress for ongoing projects for lease signing
  • Negotiating contracts to ensure they are as financial efficient as possible and stick within budget

What You Will Need To Apply:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have acquisition project management experience, including experience in acquiring leasings, negotiating contracts and contract management. It would be a bonus if this experience is from the financial services or banking industry, however this isn't essential. In the future there may be the need to manage multiple processes at one time, meaning that applicants need to be able to manage several acquisition projects at one time. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are paramount here, with the ability to build good relationships and use these favourably for the business.
