My client, a growing business based in Perth, is currently recruiting for an experienced full time Accounts Assistant to join their small but busy team in Perth. This is a varied and diverse position which will suit an individual who has worked for a small to medium sized business.
Your new role
Working within a team with a real "muck-in" mentality, you will be responsible for a variety of accountancy tasks from basic invoice processing to producing year-end reports and submissions to HMRC. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to, sales and purchase ledger, credit control and payroll both weekly and monthly for approximately 100+staff. You will undertake account reconciliations, P11Ds, VAT returns and administer pension requirements. In addition, you will prepare year-end reports and submissions to HMRC and will produce cash flow forecast and monthly variance analysis reports. You will be responsible for maintaining annual budgets and will undertake ad-hoc reporting tasks for management.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced good all round Accounts Assistant who is a loyal employee with a positive and friendly 'can do' attitude to work. You will ideally have experience within payroll, have excellent attention to detail and have used the Sage package.
