Online Systems is a Carlisle based communication business established for over 25 years. Due to an upcoming retirement, this is a great opportunity to join a growing business at a time of investment in both the people and systems, to deliver improved processes and ultimately service to our customers nationwide.Reporting to the Finance Director within an accounts team of 5, this role is varied and responsibilities will include:
Proactive management of project sales and costs recording, including:
Project setup on Sage and the CRM
Timely coordination and accurate processing of purchase orders
Checking and authorisation of purchase invoices
Monitoring and recording of costs for products, services and labour
Verification of gross profit for each job.
Maintaining an accurate item list of all equipment, parts and stock.
Coordinating monthly stock check, adjustment and reporting.
Production of management information, to include:
Weekly gross profit reporting against budget
Monthly margin reconciliation and reporting
Nominal journal posting
Balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with monthly management accounts.
The successful candidate will have:
Experience of accounts within a busy and customer focused environment
Ideally, experience of Sage 50, but training will be provided
A keen eye for detail
Excellent team working skills
Ability to work on own initiative
Good knowledge of Excel
Experience of purchase ordering, margin analysis/reconciliation and reporting would also be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
