Accounts Assistant (Bookkeeper/Payroll)
Salary £23-25,500 + benefits
My client is a small and friendly firm of Accountants, who are looking for an excellent team player to join their team. The client is based in Aldershot, are looking to employ an Accounts Assistant. My client is looking to recruit candidates who have got experience within Bookkeeping and Payroll. This role will require candidates who have got an excellent background within Accounts or Finance and the ideal candidate will come from an Accountancy Practice or Chartered Accountants. The systems which my client uses are Sage and QuickBooks - if you are familiar with these systems it would be advantageous.
You will maintain clients monthly / quarterly bookkeeping so that their VAT Returns can be filed by the deadline and the year end accounts can be prepared.
To provide assistance for accounts preparation including data entry onto spreadsheets.
Assist with the preparation for monthly, quarterly and four weekly payrolls
Knowledge of NEST pensions would be preferable but not essential
To provide assistance to our Office Manager in her absence
Answering the telephone and taking messages
Post - check the post box - log all incoming and outgoing post
Hours of work
Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch
Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch
