Position: 2nd Line Support Engineer
Location: Central London
Schedule: Full-time, on-site role (5 days per week)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + benefits

About Our Client:
Our key client, a highly reputable financial services business, provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to the UK market. They are on the search for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to provide support to internal users across their London offices.

You will be based on-site at the main branch in Central London (close to Bank station).

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proficient in both 1st and 2nd Line Support
  • Experience in providing direct IT support to senior stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of IT hardware systems, including laptops, mobiles, phones, AV equipment, meeting rooms, telephony systems, and other equipment
  • Familiar with the Microsoft stack, including AD, M365, Azure, and Windows OS
  • Proven ability to maintain applications on servers
  • Experience with cloud-based servers
  • Proficiency in networking, encompassing WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi, is desirable
  • Familiar with infrastructure migrations
  • Excellent communication skills, with a professional and client-facing demeanour
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional internal user support - 1st and 2nd line
  • Manage and resolve technical requests, predominantly operating at the 2nd line level
  • Liaise between internal users, senior internal personnel at the company, and external vendors
  • Act as a direct contact to senior management teams
  • Address user issues related to End User Computing (EUC)
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to facilitate the smooth implementation of IT solutions
  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of IT hardware systems
  • Manage and resolve escalated issues from the IT help desk
  • Manage cloud-based server environments
