2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Our client a leading company working in the property sector are going through a continued period of growth and are looking to recruit a 2nd Line Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical support to onsite and remote users.

Job Title: 2nd Line Engineer

Location: Central Manchester (Short walk from Oxford road and Manchester Piccadilly)

Fully Onsite

Salary: Up to £40,000

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Active Directory
Providing desktop support
Managing Office 365
Troubleshooting network and email issues
Troubleshooting Microsoft applications
Managing new user and leaver administration
Managing antivirus (ESET & Sophos)
Advanced management of networking devices (Firewall/Switches)
Managing storage troubleshooting (SANs & NAS)
Managing SQL Server
Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Managing server management and maintenance

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications in IT such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA
Experience in managing some or all of the key responsibilities listed above
One or more of the following skills: Expert knowledge of Virtualisation, Networking, Storage, Azure or Server Management
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changes in the IT industry

Desirable:

Management of networking devices (Firewall/Switches)
InTune/MDM skills
Storage troubleshooting (SANs & NAS)
SQL Server
knowledge of Virtualisation, Networking, Storage, Azure or Server Management
