1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced Autism Specialist looking for your next Teaching Assistant role? Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a passionate and empathetic TA to work 1:1 with a child in KS1.

Tradewind are recruiting an SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream Primary school in a suburb of Tameside. The position is part-time, working mornings-only on a 1:1 basis with a student in Year 1, therefore knowledge of the curriculum and in particular phonics would be advantageous. You will be working outside of the classroom with another TA, working to meet the student's EHCP targets. Tradewind offer above-market rates of pay, with the daily rate in the region of £85 - £90 per day.

Your duties might include:

• Supporting and managing a pupil with autistic traits, mainly on a 1:1 basis
• Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
• Supporting the school team to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for students to learn
