About BASW
The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) is the UK’s professional membership organisation for social work. We are the independent voice of social work. We champion social work and help members achieve the highest professional standards.

BASW champions social work alongside its members - and has done for almost 50 years.

Policy and research
BASW develops policies and resources for social work and social workers to support practitioners, launch campaigns or lobby UK Parliament. We work closely with other organisations, such as universities.

Around the UK
BASW has a strong presence in each of the four home nations. 

International Work
BASW represents the UK on the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW).
