The Royal Air Force performs a wide range of duties to serve and protect the UK and the world. We provide all personnel with a varied range of training and activities to make sure you're ready for anything.
Chef falls under our Logistics profession, where you will be responsible for managing, organising and executing key tasks that keep the Royal Air Force moving. Logistics is not only the engine of the Royal Air Force and ensure the smooth running of bases, it is the source of food and entertainment, keeping personnel moving both on ground and in the air.
Whether up in the air or down on the ground, as part of our Chef Specilisation and Hospitality team you will help keep the Royal Air Force running.
RAF Hospitality work behind the scenes and front of house to make sure things run smoothly. As a member of the team, you will be trained in organisation and time management, learn excellent communication skills and whatever the task, you’ll need to stay calm under pressure.
In your role you will work to prepare and deliver meals in a whole host of environments; from Military Messes to field kitchens and on board aircraft. No two days will be the same. Do you have what it takes?
Where will I be based?
RAF Hospitality personnel work on RAF bases all over the UK and abroad. Where you will be exactly is dependent on your role and what each base currently requires. Speak with your local AFCO for more information.
A Hospitality role in the RAF will take you all around the world from Military Messes to working on board an aircraft.
