IT Trainer - Didcot Initial 3 Month contract - Potential Temp to Perm - £21-£24 per hour Subject to IR35 Legislation Our client based in Didcot are recruiting for an IT Trainer to join their team on an inital 3 month contract on a potential temp to perm basis. Job role the IT Trainer you will report to the Business Systems Manager. You will work primarily on training and supporting colleagues throughout the business to maximise the use of the organisations IT systems. Your main responsibilities will be to: Identify common areas where users experience IT issues, develop and deliver training to ensure end users can self-service and less reliance on the IT helpdeskprovide training to ensure that role changes allow colleagues to carry out their new duties effectivelyProvide functional and technical support to all IT system usersDevelop and maintain a detailed understanding of the business systems used by the client and the related business processes to enable continuous improvement. Key duties Carry out IT skills gap analysesDesign technical manuals and user guides using simple languageConduct role-specific training on software to enable better use of system and service deliveryTrain or support the training of super users and champions where necessaryTrain new employees on proper use of hardware and softwareResearch and put in place appropriate learning systemsProvide basic hardware training around common areas where user experience issues; such as setting up audio and videoProvide training on how to use the organisations bespoke system and other standard commercial software, such as MS OfficeEvaluate the effectiveness of trainingMaintain updated records of training and materialsProvide help to users with problems and pass on expertise to improve their IT skills and abilityTo ensure that technical advice is available for usersTo assist in the implementation of applications including, upgrades, testing and documentation.To assist in translating user requests into technical specifications for system enhancementsTo manage the implementation of small changes and support delivery of the large projects as necessaryTo be proactively involved in proposals and implementations of improvements to systems to enable IT to better serve the client and its users; and Undertake any other duties in line with the basic objectives of the post. What you will need: Excellent knowledge of a range of IT systems including MS Office, SharePoint and O365.Experience of working as a IT Trainer or supporting a busy IT helpdeskProactive, initiative curious and passionate about improvementExperience of working with users to provide help and identifying support needsKnowledge and ability to self-teach and pick up systems quickly, then apply that knowledge to improve the systemsGood analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to convey technical information to non-technical peopleInspirational colleague with a 'can do' attitude who enjoys being part of a teamPrevious experience of IT support in a busy environment. It would also be nice to have: Experience within the social housing sector or property related environmentA positive attitude and the ability to respond to a variety of needs and work pressures created by demands of customersOrganised and methodical with good use of own judgementAbility to demonstrate innovative thinking and creative solutions
