My client, one of the largest energy companies in the country, are looking to hire a qualified Tax Accountant to join their fantastic head office in Warrington (hybrid working available). Our client is seeking a qualified Tax Accountant to join their established in-house tax team. This role offers the opportunity to support corporate compliance and reporting for the group, as well as contribute to a variety of ad-hoc advisory projects. The successful candidate will also have the chance to support the business in employment tax matters - experience in this area is desirable but not essential as training can be provided. This role is perfect for those who have already worked in-house or those in practice looking to make their first move into industry, with great opportunities for future development. What you'll do: Preparation of corporate tax reporting and compliance computationsPreparation of group external reporting, company business plans and regulatory plans and accountsAssist Tax Manager / Head of Tax and legal team on a wide variety of transactionsTax modelling and forecasting tax payable and profits / losses as requiredContribute and assist with systems implementation and integration of new technology solutions and processesTo provide ad hoc advice to the business, as requiredTo support the business on employment tax technical mattersSupport on tax risk and governance matters as required including SAO What you bring: Minimum of 1 years' experience post qualified experience in corporate taxACA or ACCA qualified and / or CTA qualifiedStrong UK tax technical skillsetGood tax accounting knowledge and experience of reporting under IFRSStrong knowledge of capital allowancesKnowledge of excel and an interest in tax technologyEmployment tax experience desirable but not essential - a willingness and ability to learn new skills will be required To apply for this unique opportunity, please get in touch today!
