Graduate Landscape Architect Location: Sheffield City CouncilJob Type: Full-time, Temporary (1 - 2 months)Pay Rate: £16.65 - £18.72 per hour, depending on experienceWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 17:00 pm Sheffield City Council are looking for a Graduate Landscape Architect to deliver high-quality landscape design solutions for a range of internal clients and provide professional and regulatory advice in line with current legislation and Council policies. Day-to-day of the role: Undertake design and technical support from conception to completion of landscape and public realm projects, including the production of graphical and presentation material under the supervision of the Technical Manager and Senior Landscape Architects.Take design responsibility for specific areas of work and projects, including liaison with multi-disciplinary project teams.Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Council and with external agencies, clients, and contractors to support partnership working and achieve the Council’s aims.Attend, arrange, and facilitate meetings, presentations, and workshops with clients, stakeholders, community groups, and the public.Support and assist the Technical Manager and Design Manager as required.Assist in supervising and training junior personnel within the team.Use IT software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Affinity, NBS Chorus (or equivalent) to prepare and illustrate landscape designs, production drawings, and specifications for construction projects.Submit and negotiate to obtain Planning, Building Regulations, and other legal and statutory approvals for projects.Provide landscape advice on issues such as accessibility, sustainability, nature conservation, surface water management, and landscape remediation.Assist in setting fees, preparing resource requirements, and monitoring the expenditure of fees on projects. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.Experience in landscape design and technical support.Proficiency in IT software like AutoCAD, Revit, Affinity, NBS Chorus, or equivalent.Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of current legislation, guidance, and best practices in landscape architecture.
