Helpdesk Engineer

We are looking for a candidate with good technical experience from a helpdesk background within the London area. Working hours: 8 AM to 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch breakOOH on call: 1 week in rotation with other engineers. Key responsibilities include: Troubleshooting and performing diagnosticsLiaising with suppliers to resolve issuesTesting and providing solutions to end usersSupporting and training junior engineersWork within SLAs and adhere to all processes and proceduresManage and prioritize incidents/requests effectivelyUpgrade network elements as and when neededKeeping customers informed at all times on the progress of a ticketTaking calls from customers and providing remote support over the phoneWhere remote fix is not possible, liaise with the engineering team for site visits. Required knowledge and level of experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in a helpdesk environment.Experience in supporting Cisco switch stack administration via CLIKnowledge of Debian GNU/LinuxKnowledge and experience with routing concepts.
