AIMS OF POSITION: Ø To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the departments day-to-day activities and to provide support to the finance function. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: OFFICE RELATED TASKS Welcoming visitors to the building, organising security clearance and showing them to meetingsGeneral administration duties to support the running of the officeOrdering of stationery, office supplies and lunches as and when requiredOpening, sorting and distributing mailMaintaining office equipment like copiers and franking machines for smooth office functionalityManaging any DocuSign signatoriesArchiving FINANCE RELATED TASKS PO management e.g. chasing POs to be approved/goods receipted.Procurement admin - e.g. supplier set up, change of addresses/bank details etc.Sales ledger and purchase ledger duties when requiredBanking allocationsManage customer invoicing portalsChasing customer debtLiaising with employees for credit cards o Assisting other members of the finance team with ad hoc tasks SKILLS AND ABILITIES: o Self-starter with a drive to improve processes o Team player o Enthusiastic and committed with a desire to get things done o Good communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels o Excellent organisational skills o Attention to detail QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: DESIRABLE: o Experience in both office administration and finance Knowledge of finance systems and excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office CHARACTER AND PERSONAL QUALITIES: o Flexible o Self-starter with can do attitude o Enthusiastic Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. We are recruiting for a part qualified or degree qualified accounts / finance person to join our client who is a shipping & logistics company. Strong Purchase ledger experience is required for this role and duties include: - Overseeing and managing the purchase ledger - Dealing with aged creditors and PL queries - Reconciliations - Petty cash - Uploading credit card analysis to sage - Contra entries - VAT returns - Purchase orders - Journals - Duties to overall support the finance manager THIS IS FULLY OFFICE BASED (NOT REMOTE OR HYBRID) Hours are Monday - Friday 9.00am - 17.30pm
