The London office of a US-headquartered firm is actively looking to add an exceptional Senior Associate to their highly regarded and very busy corporate practice, the firm's largest M&A team outside the US. Our client, a specialist corporate law firm, is looking for the assistance of a junior-mid level corporate Lawyer on a particular project which is anticipated to run for circa 3 months in duration. The project is expected to require 25-60 hours per week, depending on the stage of the transaction, and will pay a competitive hourly rate. Lawyers can work remotely from within the UK, and should be available immediately or at short notice. Ideally, the successful Lawyer will have a strong corporate law background with venture capital and/or private equity exposure, gained from notable City or International law firms. Throughout the project, the Lawyer can expect to be involved in drafting memorandum of associations to dovetail with a VC investment agreement, amongst other matters. Whilst this initial project is anticipated to run for circa 3 months in duration, there is potential to form a longer-term relationship with the firm and work on future projects. Our client is an elite city law firm. They are currently looking for a corporate Lawyer, with extensive experience in handling non-disclosure agreements, to work as part of a client team aligned to a core client of theirs within the private investments sector. The client is a private investment firm, focused on private debt investments. The assignment is to start imminently, and will run for 9 months. In joining the client team, the successful Lawyer can expect to be involved in reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements along with related documentation, including release letters, advising on restrictions imposed by previously signed non-disclosure agreements, as well as securities and market-abuse regulations, along with liaising with the client over the phone and email. Please note: Lawyers need to be comfortable with the scope of the role, and be committed to seeing out a 9 month assignment focusing on this. It is not a stepping stone to broader corporate M&A work.
