This full-time hybrid role, based in Manchester, offers the opportunity to work closely with leading lawyers across multiple jurisdictions on a variety of high-value corporate matters. The work will focus primarily on M&A transactions, investment and joint venture deals, and general corporate advisory work. You'll also have the opportunity to support cross-border projects, collaborating with colleagues and clients across time zones and industries. This role requires someone confident working independently, as your manager and senior team members may be based in another country. You'll be trusted to take ownership of your workload, make sound judgements, and deliver exceptional results with minimal supervision. Who You Are You're not a typical corporate lawyer. The Role: As a Corporate Paralegal, you will work closely with the Legal Team and an existing Senior Paralegal to provide essential in-house legal support. You will advise on key legal documents, manage post-completion processes, maintain legal databases, and assist with updates to internal systems. This role requires someone who is self-sufficient, highly organised, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Advising the Legal Team on NDAs, adviser engagement letters, non-reliance letters, release letters, and other related documents. Collaborating with the Senior Paralegal to obtain and maintain post-completion legal documents and update the Securities Database. Assisting in maintaining and updating the Legal intranet pages and external lawyers' SharePoint portal. Executing changes required by members of the Legal Team to legal precedent documents. Providing holiday cover for the Senior Paralegal by: Managing post-completion legal documents and updating the Securities Database. Maintaining the Securities Register (part of the Securities Database). Producing reports, memos, letters, presentations, and other documents using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other software as required. About You: You will be experienced as a Corporate Paralegal or newly qualified solicitor with a track record of drafting corporate documents including NDA's. Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to amend complex documents confidently. A good understanding of legal research tools and their application in corporate law contexts. Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail when managing legal documentation and databases. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
