Day to Day of the role: Manage all aspects of imports for the UK, including customs matters, warehousing, and IPR suspension.Track the ETA of imports and communicate updates to the Purchasing Department.Arrange export shipments across various modes of transport and prepare necessary documentation.Support the flow of information between departments such as Goods-in, Sales, Labs, Planning, and Shipping.Implement new structures and systems to support business operations.Maintain and update information in JDE and other business systems.Monitor changes in freight industry legislation and evaluate service and costs of agents.Provide support to other areas of Logistics as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5 GCSEs or equivalent to Grade C (4) or above, including English and Maths.A minimum of two years’ experience in an office-based environment.Dangerous Goods by Air, Sea, or Road qualifications are desirable.Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.Experience in Import and Export is beneficial but not essential.Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and customers.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Strong PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
