We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Manager to join our client's team in East Kilbride. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background and a proven track record in securing and managing multi-year contracts within the engineering sector. Reporting to the Operations Director, and in turn the board, your role will be varied, though some of your key responsibilities will include: Leading the commercial process for multi-layered bids, from RFQ through to award.Developing and delivering winning technical and commercial proposals for multi-year contracts across multiple sites.Managing client relationships throughout the bid process, building trust and ensuring a successful outcome.Negotiating and finalizing commercial contracts, mitigating risk and maximising profit potentialWorking collaboratively with internal teams (engineering, production) to ensure bids are technically sound and commercially viable. It is expected that you shall have a degree in an engineering-related subject, additional business qualifications would be advantageous. You will also have a background in engineering or machining, and have at least 5 years commercial management experience, with a demonstrable record of success. You will have strong skills in bidding, pricing, contract negotiation, and multi-year contracts. It goes without saying you will have strong communication skills, but key to this role is the desire to develop.
