Management Accountant
Role: Management Accountant (Expenses) Location: City of London Salary: £55-65k + study support & benefits Robert Half are currently working with a market leading insurance group based in central London. Due to an internal promotion, they are looking to hire a talented Management Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This role will be hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office. Role The Management Accountant will be focussing on the companies expenses, working closely with the finance manager, and take on a number of key duties including: Lead a small team (2), set objectives, performance manage and guide & support.Review and approval of invoice entries prior to posting to General LedgerReview and approval of bank journal entries prior to posting to General LedgerPreparation of accruals and prepayment journal entriesRunning and reviewing of monthly expense allocationsReview and authorisation of online staff expense claimsPreparation of monthly and quarterly expense reportsAnalysing material expense movements and assisting with preparation of expense commentaryPreparing and populating various budgets by entity and cost centrePreparation of allocation drivers.Implementation of budget into the general ledger SAP.Reconciliation and variance analysis of the budget against current year reforecast and prior year budgetStatutory accounts for the managing agent.Quarterly and Annual Lloyd's return (QF1 and AF1) for managing agent Profile The ideal profile for this progressive Accounts Assistant role, should have the following attributes: Experience in similar expense focussed role.Good knowledge of US and UK GAAP.Has a willingness to learn, develop and take on responsibilities within the team.Willing to work as part of a team.Has strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work.Open to Part-Qualified/Qualified/Qualified by experience.
