Hays Education are working exclusively with a 'Good' Primary School in Manchester. They are looking to recruit a Key Stage One specialist Teacher for their Year 1 class. They require someone to start in September 2024 covering maternity for the entire academic year. At this school Leaders and teachers expect pupils to behave well. Pupils respond positively to these high expectations. They work hard in lessons because they love learning. They want to achieve well for themselves and their teachers.The ideal candidate for this Key Stage One teaching opportunity in Manchester will have/be;

  • Qualified Teacher Status (UK)
  • In depth knowledge of the KS1 Curriculum
  • Experienced teachers or Newly Qualified Teachers are all welcome to apply.
  • Ability to provide a secure and engaging learning environment.
  • Commitment to work cohesively with colleagues and parents and carers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


In return the successful Key Stage One teacher will have/be;

  • Paid to scale (M1 to M6)
  • Able to accrue holiday pay which can be taken at any point

  • Ongoing support from a dedicated specialist primary education consultant
