Year 1/2 Teacher - New Romney

Full-time - MPS/UPS - May 2024

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Primary Teacher to teach a Y1/2 class on a full-time basis for a Maternity Cover, commencing from the 7th May till the end of the academic year. This role will include planning and marking responsibilities and interviews will commence after the Easter break.

The school is a small rural primary school within the Romney Marsh area and is a big part of the local community. The school is graded GOOD by Ofsted as of 2023 and the assertion that they are a big part of their community is echoed and make a point of including the local history as part of the learning in the form of regular school trips to local landmarks. The pupils enjoy their time in the school and are proud of it! Due to the school's location, the ability to drive and have access to a car is a must.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in KS1
  • Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported, and challenged appropriately with the work set.
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
  • Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
  • Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum KS1 experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
  • Have right to work in the UK
