Workshop supervisor

My client is a specialist precision engineering business who fabricate specialist equipment for the scientific sector. Due to expansion,they are seeking an experienced skilled fitter / supervisor for a permanent role in their fabrication workshop in Kiln Farm.

The company is seeking a senior mechanical fitter/ assembler to join its manufacturing operation in North West Milton Keynes.

The company produces high quality precision equipment in a number of different materials but in the main in stainless steel. You will be responsible for a team of 4 staff building and testing the companiy's bespoke equipment by following engineering drawings and schematics.

The company manufactures to extremely high tolerances and so they need someone who can work accurately and has an immerse attention to details whilst being able to task the team of fitters and ensure work is carried out ontime and to the highest standards.

Predominantly the role is permanent days, but flexibility to cover overtime etc may be required.

To be considered you would need to demonstrate:

* You are an experienced mechanical fitter / machine builder / engine builder who can working to deadlines

* You have previously supervised a team of technicians in a workshop environment 

* You can understand and interpret engineering drawings

* Use and understand inspection equipment (training is available)


In return the company offers a competitive basic salary with overtime available, free parking 21 days holiday, Christmas shutdown, and other benefits associated with a company of its size. Hours of work 0800-1700 mon- thurs with a 1200 finish on Friday.
