Job Title:Wireless Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000
*Excellent IT/Networking skills
*Experience of enterprise WLAN systems, Aerohive, Ruckus etc.
*Excellent understanding of Radius, NPS, VLAN and switching appliances, Brocade, Dell etc.
*Experience in Ekahau and Airmagnet surveying / spectrum analysis software.
*Ability to problem solve and empathise with the customer’s needs
*Ability to understand, translate and document customer requirements in detail
*Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (written and verbally)
*Knowledge of health and safety legislation
*Must have a full clean drivers licence.
*Must be happy to go through DBS checking and customer/government led security clearance procedures to enhanced level.
*Professional level qualification for an Enterprise WLAN systems. ACWP would be advantageous.
Reporting to the Operations Director you will join a highly experienced network engineering team delivering solutions to customers. As Wireless Engineer you will be able to work as part of the team or on your own to deliver IT support and services to customers on their sites. You will also be expected to help maintain internal IT systems.
As Wireless Engineer you will need experience of :
*specifying, configuring and maintaining enterprise grade wireless LANs.
*configuring, monitoring and fault finding networking hardware at the command line level.
*working with Active Directory, and integrating hardware and users for authentication via Radius / NPS.
*being customer facing and understand the importance of excellent customer service for our clients.
