An exciting opportunity has arisen for Well-being Nurse to join Turning Point's large clinical team delivering substance misuse interventions across Leicestershire. You will join an established and experienced team of clinicians delivering all substance misuse treatment interventions across Leicestershire.
You will undertake a diverse role including running well-being clinics in the community including full healthcare assessments, Blood Bourne Virus screening and vaccination, supporting the management of alcohol and opiate community detoxifications and other harm reduction and well-being interventions. Full training and supervision is provided from our Community Nurse Manager and Clinical Lead Consultant Psychiatrist. You will work across our hubs in both the city and county of Leicestershire, working with a diverse range of colleagues. Additionally you will provide cross cover to the clinical team delivering interventions in HMP Leicester including dispensing controlled medication and supporting the management of new receptions in to prison and alcohol detoxifications. Some occasional early morning, evening and weekend working will be required as part of this cover and the ability to obtain prison clearance is essential.
You will need to be a qualified nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council. As an employee you will have access to RCNi to assist with revalidation, indemnity insurance and support and supervision from the nurse manager and clinical lead.
