We actively seek skilled Welders (flux-core) for a leading engineering/manufacturing client based in Fife, Scotland. This role offers both contracting and permanent positions, providing flexibility for your career path. Seize the opportunity for long-term contracting (Inside IR35) with competitive rates and various shift options, including day, back shift, and night shift with enhanced hourly rates for shift work. Daily travel/accommodation paid where relevant, regular overtime (Fridays all overtime).  Long term projects (inside ir35) applies.

Location: Fife, Scotland

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a team of Welders, emphasizing tooling maintenance.
  • Conduct basic visual inspections on completed welds, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Address weld defects, identifying causes, while ensuring the functionality of welding equipment.
  • Utilize expertise in Arc Air gouging, grinding, burning, and flux-core welding.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous Welder experience in heavy engineering environments is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in welding processes, with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
  • Hold relevant welding certificates and certifications, showcasing the ability to pass an on-site welder pre-appointment test.
