Job Title: Welder Fabricator
Location: LE11
Salary: From £14.87ph+
Shift: Shift work - Day/Nights

Metalis are working alongside a prestigious manufacturing company in the Leicester area who are looking for Welder Fabricators to join their growing teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Looking for experienced Fabricator/Welders to continue to build their teams
  • Working on structural steel of varying grades and thicknesses for our long-term national infrastructure and housebuilding projects.
  • Use of hand/power tools
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Welding to various thicknesses
  • The work is never boring due to the bespoke designs of our clients' work

Shifts & Salary:

  • 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7.15 am to 4.15 pm; Friday 7.15 to 12.15)
  • Our basic rates start from £14.87 per hour. Overtime is plentiful both pre and post shift in the week and at the weekend with enhanced rates of time and half and double time

Ideal candidate:

  • A formal apprenticeship Fabricating/Welding qualification. (desirable)
  • Two years qualified experience of MIG, MMA welding
  • To be able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Proven experience in carrying out full penetration butt welds and muti-run fillets overlayed
  • Excellent understanding of welding codes and standards
  • Experience of using oxy-acetylene kit, plasma kits for burning and jig work
  • Be able to comfortably commute to Loughborough
