Wedding Event Coordinator / Events Assistant with experience in the luxury hotel and events market. The most important factor for this role is the person. You always go the extra mile and pride yourself on outstanding guest service. An enthusiastic, driven & experienced Event Coordinator operating within an idyllically located hotel.
Purpose of Job/Key objectives
Wedding Event Coordinator / Events Assistant will be responsible for the sale and booking of all events including dealing with enquiries, following up with potential clients, meeting clients, and acting as a supervisor on the day. The Events Coordinator will look to increase profit and efficiency whilst maintaining exceptional levels of guest service across all market segments.
A creative individual with a passion for events and sales, responsible for enquiry handling, proposals, site visits, final detail appointments, developing key relationships and ensuring all events are perfectly executed from initial enquiry right through to the guest departure.
Principal Duties/Tasks and responsibilities
Create exceptional experiences for all guests in line with the Kellam Group Ethos.
Support the sales and booking of events for Winstanley House, working to clear targets.
Coordinate the events booking/management system and record corporate, individual and wedding contact details in line with Kellam Group data standards.
Ensure events are delivered to an exceptional standard, by ensuring detailed event schedules are prepared, and team are briefed on guest needs.
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with teams, promoting the Kellam Group ethos.
Nurture and build relationships with new and existing guests across all market segments.
Have a strong understanding of the sales budget and targets, working towards agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Have a strong understanding of the Kellam Group 'non-negotiables’ and group ethos
Seek out new opportunities to create memorable moments at every guest touch point.
Experience of successfully planning and delivering corporate/private events.
Excellent written communication skills for a variety of purposes including proposals, function schedules.
Excellent verbal communication skills to deliver persuasive and effective presentations/site visits, networking, negotiations, internal communications and relationship management.
Target driven with a proven sales ability
Ability to prioritise and plan workload efficiently, with a thorough and meticulous approach
A diplomatic person who is confident and effective at dealing with people at all levels.
Highly organised and self-motivated person who can efficiently and effectively manage a wide range of tasks.
Ability to work well under pressure and priorities tasks, as directed as well as using own initiative.
