This role offers an opportunity to work on high profile and challenging digital programmes in UK Government. The company is looking for a Web Content Management expert with Front End Development knowledge to work on a new and exciting exemplar digital service for the UK Government.

They’re after a self-driven individual with a "get it done" mentality that has a passion for helping organizations solve complex business and technology problems. This person will build and deliver web content management solutions using open source and cloud platforms for UK government departments as their WCM Solution Architect. The individual in this role will lead technical requirements sessions, work directly with clients and developers, architect and document solutions, and build digital services capable of winning global awards.

Responsibilities;

  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions using WCM solutions that adhere to Government Digital Service standards,
  • Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with client business objectives,
  • Manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a WCM implementation,
  • Develop custom solutions and interfaces leveraging WCM and Cloud platforms,
  • Manage technical scopes and client expectations,
  • Design and manage execution of test plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered,
  • Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being used,
  • Be a credible subject matter expert to clients and partners on sales cycles and marketing events,
  • Provide detailed estimates and participate in sales solutioning and proposal creation,
  • Hire, mentor and build a strong WCM delivery capability,

Essential Requirements;

  • Experience of Web Content Managementproducts (e.g. AEM, Drupal, Bloomreach, Crafter etc),
  • Experience of Front End Development technologies (e.g. Node.js, React.js, Angular.js etc),
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc),
  • Agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum,
  • Background in design and development of enterprise systems,
  • Principles for Digital Services and other security standards,

Desirable / Nice to Have;

  • Experience building cloud scalable, event driven systems,
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for software delivery,
  • Experience automating cloud platforms,

Please note you will need to comply with Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) to be offered this role. In addition, you may have or may be sponsored for Security Clearance (SC). As such applicants MUST have the legal right to work in the UK and have lived in the UK continuously for the last five years.
