Job Title: Web Analytics and Conversion Optimisation Specialist

Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager

Direct Reports: None


Primary purpose of the role

Responsible for delivering actionable insights from websites and combining with behavioural user data in order to improve the end-to-end view of the customer journey. Establishing, documenting and maintaining an evolving conversion optimization strategy that focuses on revenue generation of the non-account (consumer and business) channels in order to achieve the UK’s business targets.

Key accountabilities and activity areas

  • Execute and manage the Conversion Rate Optimisation strategy that focuses on revenue generation (CRO testing roadmap)
  • Develop hypotheses, create specifications and implementation of A/B, MVT tests whilst following UX best practices
  • Identify technical issues associated within the domains and deliver a recommendations document highlighting the high, medium and low priorities according to natural search (SEO) impact
  • Liaise with development teams to integrate technical SEO best practice into site build
  • Identify opportunities to support PPC, GDN, remarketing and prospecting campaigns
  • Quantitative user data analysis using Google Analytics
  • Qualitative user research using a range of tools such as UserTesting and others
  • Creating tailored reporting and communicating test results to key business stakeholders
  • Working closely with web developers to prioritise web changes

Experience

  • 2+ years in a conversion optimization role that included ecommerce experience with track record of end-to-end planning and execution
  • Proven experience in using data to identify optimisation opportunities to improve website performance and KPIs
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices ? Extensive knowledge of UX best practices
  • Highly analytical and experienced in designing and implementing A/B and MTV tests with the use of tools such as Optimizely, VWO or similar
  • Experience using web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or similar
  • Experience using Google Tag Manager or similar and knowledge of the latest tagging/tracking techniques and best practices
  • Extracting information from dataLayer for use in reporting and media optimisation
  • Experience in discovering audiences through web analytics that can be segmented to ensure paid media budget and creative are optimal
  • Proficiency in user experience best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with stakeholder management
  • A data specialist with the initiative and ability to go beyond surface details to produce actionable insight
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Results driven, experienced individual that can reliably meet goals & deadlines
