Waste Operations Manager. As the Waste Operations Manager, you will be working for a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This is an interim role initially for 6 months on a £NEG Daily rate. Subsequently, there is an opportunity for the role to become permanent.


You will lead a dynamic and challenging frontline service covering waste and recycling collection, both highly valued services to our residents and businesses. The role requires someone with an accomplished track record in delivering improvement through effective operational management and who offers the right blend of technical know-how and people skills.


Experience

  • Experience of successfully working in environmental services, or a comparable public-facing operational service, at a management or senior management level.
  • Substantial experience of successfully leading teams and managing staff
  • Ability to deliver frontline services that consistently meet or exceed service standards
  • Significant experience of addressing operational issues and applying a risk-based solution for future proofing
  • Understanding of, and commitment to achieving the Council's Staff Values and ability to put into practice in the context of this post.
