Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our logistics team. This role is ideal for an individual who is not only comfortable working in a warehouse environment but is also capable of undertaking occasional driving duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling of goods and ensuring timely delivery when required.

• Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
• Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
• Taking inventory and maintaining accurate records of the goods.
• Picking and packing orders with attention to detail.
• Organising transfers and deliveries with the use of company vehicles.
• Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed in the warehouse.
• Operating handling equipment and ensuring safety regulations are followed.
• Overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse and equipment.
• Driving company vehicles as needed for deliveries and pickups.

• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Operative or similar role.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Full, clean driving licence and experience in driving commercial vehicles.
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a dynamic environment.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Forklift operation certification is a plus.
