First Choice Staff are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative for our globally established client in Southall!

Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 06:00 - 16:00

Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to assist with loading and unloading vehicles carrying a variety of cargo using a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, as well as performing some manual handling.
  • You will be expected to use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo.
  • Process paperwork in accordance with our clients’ requirements.
  • For any cargo coming into the facility, you will be required when unloading, to check for any discrepancies, damage, or any areas of concern.
  • To ensure that the Xray defect sheet is completed correctly, and any faults reported to Managers.
  • Overseeing build and break down of pallets and ensuring pallets are labelled correctly.


Requirements:

  • Previous Warehouse experience in freight. (essential)
  • Forklift experience (essential)
  • Cargo Operative licence (preferred)
  • NXCT X-ray licence (preferred not essential)
  • To provide 5 years checkable employment history. (essential)
  • Knowledge and understanding of how Logistics or other large airfreight organisations operate.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
