Our client is a global leader in the lottery industry, providing retail and digital solutions to lottery customers worldwide. In partnership with a key customer, a brand-new site is being opened in Warrington to provide logistics, warehousing and other related services. As a result of this they are hiring an entire team of Warehouse Operatives.

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operative performs warehouse operation tasks as cleanly, safely and efficiently as possible. They are responsible for correctly picking, packing, sorting, shipping, and receiving orders.

Please note that the warehouse will run a single day time shift, Monday to Friday so there is no requirement to work evenings or weekends although overtime will be available during busy periods.

Job Functions:

• Follow distribution processes as communicated by managers
• Is accountable for all tasks assigned from clocking in and out to ensuring orders are processed and audited properly
• Trouble-shoot incorrect orders
• Make adjustments in workflow to ensure contractual obligations are met
• Perform at a level / standard that is required of the task
• Clean workstations and warehouse
• Restock product as required
• Performance maintenance on equipment as assigned
• Pick and input product if required

Position Requirements / Qualifications:

• Ability to lift to 20-50 lbs. consistently (poly-bagged orders for shipping, push / pull handling of totes for replenishing)
• Be able to stand for long periods of time (shift hours range between 8-12 hours)
• Hands on, high-pace handling of ticket packs
• Basic maths and reading skills - English language
• Be able to handle a box cutter / knife to break down / dispose of empty cartons
• Use of handheld scanner for scanning ticket packs
• Load and use a tape gun
