Elevation Procurement and Supply Chain are working with a major manufacturer based in Normanton, in the search for an experienced Warehouse Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our warehouse operations in West Yorkshire. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the warehouse facility, while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and operational strategies to optimise productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order processing, and shipping.
  • Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of employee engagement and productivity.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and implement measures to prevent stock discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, purchasing, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and timely order fulfillment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment, including compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and control warehouse expenses within budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies and process improvements.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and experience in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with a focus on continuous improvement.
