Are you an experienced Compliance professional looking for a new challenge? Our client, a leading banking institution, is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable individual to join their team as a VP Compliance Advisory. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the company's compliance efforts, ensuring that regulatory requirements are met and risks are mitigated.

Responsibilities:

Provide expert compliance advice and guidance to the organisation, including senior management and key stakeholders.
Stay up to date with changes in regulatory frameworks and develop strategies to implement necessary changes within the organisation.
Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop appropriate controls and measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance issues are identified and effectively addressed.
Develop and deliver compliance training programmes to enhance awareness and understanding across the organisation.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of compliance programmes and procedures, making recommendations for improvement when necessary.
Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations, to stay informed about industry trends and best practises.
Stay abreast of emerging compliance issues and provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate risks.
Requirements:

At least 7 years of experience in Compliance, preferably within the banking industry.
Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, such as FCA and PRA, Good knowledge of MIFID and or EMIR
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programmes, policies, and procedures.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess potential risks.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
Relevant professional qualifications are desirable, such as ICA Diploma in Compliance.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary in the range of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
