We're seeking a future team member to join our Middle Office - Derivatives Operations team. This role is located in Manchester, UK and is working in a hybrid capacity. (3 days in the office per week).
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Coordinates and directs the daily operations of a medium sized team. Monitors work metrics and standards; resolves team issues as required.
  • Resolves complex or non-routine operational issues and inquiries as needed, providing work direction and technical assistance.
  • Maintains relationships with business teams to report client trends and needs, using knowledge of client issues to contribute to business development efforts.
  • Manages internal activities and initiatives designed to improve the daily operations.
  • Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Responsible for the achievement of team goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of team members. Team supports a selected number of client accounts ranging from moderate to highly complex.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in reconciliations, trade processing, settlements and cash processing are all skills transferrable to this role. Full derivative product training will be provided and is not a barrier to entry.
